Dr. Theodore "Ted" F. Norton, age 71, of Queen City , Missouri and formerly of Ottumwa, Iowa, died Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri. He was born the son of Winfred "Fud" and Helen (Hoover) Norton on June 30, 1940 in Centerville, Iowa. He graduated from the Moulton-Udell High School and received his Doctorate in Chiropractic from the Palmer Chiropractic College in 1972.

Ted served his country for a time in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1964. He was the owner of Norton Chiropractic in Ottumwa, Iowa for many years. He loved to bowl, and was an avid baseball fan, especially the St. Louis Cardinals .

He was preceded in death by: his parents; and a brother, Jerry Norton.

Ted is survived by: his brother, Terry Norton of Blairstown, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation and a short service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2012 from 9 am until services at 11 am at the Schmidt Family Funeral Home in Moulton, Iowa. Burial will follow at the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa.
